Christina Bezari is a PhD candidate at the Department of Literary Studies of Ghent University under the supervision of Dr. Marianne van Remoortel. She has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in translation studies at the Ionian University of Corfu and a Master’s degree in comparative literature at the University of Sorbonne (Paris-IV). One of her major scientific interests is literary translation, with special focus on Greek and French poets of the 19th and the 20th centuries. She has previously worked on literary archetypes, such as dreams, poetic folly and feminine representations in early modern literature. She has also developed a keen interest in literary criticism, philosophy of language and semantics. As part of the Agents of Change project, she intends to conduct a comparative research on transnational exchange networks among women editors in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece.
