Charlotte D’Eer is a PhD student at the Department of Literary Studies, Ghent University. She completed her master studies in English and German literature and obtained a second master’s degree in Comparative Modern Literature at Ghent University, specializing in gender studies, women authors and research on emotions. Charlotte has focused on the representation of Angst and happiness in works by German and American women authors in particular. As part of the WeChangEd team, Charlotte will be working on German-language periodicals. She will investigate the impact of their women editors on public debate and the transnational exchange of their ideas through periodicals.
